Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Nurse

Virginia Mae Brown passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose compassion and warmth touched many lives.

Virginia worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse, dedicating her life to caring for others with kindness and grace. Beyond her career, she served as a Girl Scout leader, guiding and encouraging young girls with patience and purpose.

A true animal lover, Virginia had a special fondness for cats, and her gentle spirit extended to all who knew her.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Larry Edward Brown, and daughter, Debbie Mae Hooks; her grandchildren, Matthew Edward Brown, Michelle Alicia Brown, Pamela Marie Brown, Brandon Allen Reese, and Kenneth Daniel Reese; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Stetson Brewer Reese and Parker Calhoun Reese.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, GA 30813.

Virginia’s legacy of love, service, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
