Mr. Redfern was an employee of Augusta and Richmond County in the Planning and Zoning Department.
Mr. Redfern is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Redfern, and brother, John Redfern. Survivors include his loving wife, Vicky Redfern; daughter, Elaine Mason (Brian); son, Dean Redfern; mother, Geneva Hudson; sister-in-law, Jeannie Cato; brother-in-law, Coy Sharpe; grandchildren, Stevie Lee Mason, Josh Mason, Autumn Redfern, Kayden Redfern, and Levi Redfern; nieces, Sherry Wells (Keith), Katina Adams (Jack), Stephanie Redfern, Mary Redfern (Chris), Jeri Gregg (Rande) and Kacie Sharpe; nephews, Brent Sharpe (Stephanie), Chad Cato (Gina) and Chase Cato (Stormee); and aunt, Carolyn Flakes (Lester).
A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta, GA 30906.
