William Allen Elliott III

Allen is preceded in death by his fathers, William Allen Elliott, Jr., and James Joseph Beckworth. Allen's mother, Shirley Ann Beckworth, has recently died since his death.

In addition to his wife, Allen is survived by his brothers, Kerry Beckworth and Johnny Beckworth (Vickie, Cody Brown), sister Tracie Kellos Seigler (Nicholas, Emery and Reed), Niece, April Johnston (Michael, Ava and Micah), Nephew, Nathan Beckworth (Peyton, Cohen and Sutton), and Cousin, Laura Reed (Neal).

Allen was a life-long Augustan. He graduated from Richmond Academy where he was a member of the golf team. He loved Georgia football, the Masters Golf Tournament, and the Manheim Steamroller shows at Bell Auditorium. The Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons made him turn the TV OFF!

Allen retired in September 2021, as Assistant Plant Manager of the Highland Avenue Water Treatment plant, where he worked for 41 years and made many lifelong friends.

He was always buying meals for those in need and will be missed but not forgotten. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to the Golden Harvest Food Bank. Donations can be made at that website, where a memory page in his name has been established.
