Christopher was born in Honolulu, Hawaii at Tripler Army Medical Center to David Cayton & Bonnie (Johnson) Cayton. Chris was 3 weeks late and was a big boy. Upon returning back to Colorado in April 73 his mom handed Chris over to his grandfather beaming with joy and said” Here’s your grandson” from that point forward Chris was a grandpa’s boy! Chris was always at his grandpa’s side from that moment on whenever they would go to the mountains together to go fishing or horseback riding or just tinkering with his grandpa’s car. Chris attended St. Therese Catholic School, Montview Elementary, St. James Catholic School and Aurora Central High School where he was in JR ROTC. Chris moved to Vancouver, Washington in 89 with his mom and later would move back to Colorado. Chris took after his grandfather and drove a bus for RTD. He drove a tow truck for several companies and eventually went into window washing where he started his own business Cay-shine. After a few ventures in life he would become a father to 4 beautiful children. Chris was a great son, brother, father, uncle and friend and was loved by everyone. Chris is preceded in death by his dad David, grandparents Charles and Ann, sister Valerie. Survived by his mother Bonnie(Gary) Hailey, Sister Angela(Robert) Myers, Children Mackenzie and Charles Cayton, Jordan and Gage Wagner, nephews Micheal and Joshua Cayton, Great niece and nephew Savanah and Parker Cayton. Many friends and family. Chris will be greatly loved and missed by all who loved him.
Christopher’s remains will be spread with his dad and sisters remains with family at a later date.
