

Curtis Lee Curry Sr. was born on September 26, 1965, to Dorothy Delores Curry and Harold James Curry in Denver, Colorado. He was raised with his siblings: older brother Daniel “Danny” James and little sister Lesia Anita. He attended Denver Public Schools and completed his formal education at East High School. He then went on to receive his Culinary Arts Degree and later his Certified Nurse Aide License from Emily Griffith Opportunity School.
Curtis was a loving dad, who was adventurous and kind. He would help anyone in any way he could. He lived life on his terms; enjoyed music and spending time with family and friends. Curtis was a Denver Broncos enthusiast, loved watching wrestling, and was a great cook.
Curtis was called home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2022 in Denver, Colorado.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Katrina M. Curry; his children: Curtis Lee Curry Jr., Alieshya Monet Dorothy Curry, Regis Curry, and Shirley Kaye Mitchell. Bonus Children: Portia Kaye Mitchell and Michaelia JaCoe Maxey. Grandchildren: Curtis Curry III, Egypt, Dream, Destiney, Pharron, William, Yahmir, Samija, Rneil-JaCoe, C.A. Dajzore, and Zalayha. His sister Lesia Anita Curry. Nieces and Nephews: Danny Jr., Devan, Ebony and Marcus. His father Harold (Jonnette) Curry. Aunts and Uncles: Ethel (George) Marshall, Emma Russell of Baton Rouge, LA., Darlene Curry, Barbara Owens, Ruby Wells, Johnny Curry, Roy (Brenda) Curry of Baton Rouge, LA., John Curry, and Bill (BoBo) Curry. Close friend/brother: George Ross. Cousins: Gregory, Jeffery and Robert. He is proceeded in death by: his grandparents, Mother: Dorothy Delores Curry, Aunt: Velma Moore, Brother: Daniel “Danny” James (Chandra) Curry, Grandson: Baby James Curry, and dear friend Mr. Claud A. Hammons.
