

Daniel H. McEachrin was born November 18, 1944 in Fayetteville, NC to Mazola and Sim Jr. McEachern. The military misspelled his last name in basic training and it was too much paperwork to get it corrected.
Dan is survived by his wife Shari. He has two brothers; Jessie and Tommy and three sisters; Mary, Betty and Florence, he also has two brothers who he is now reunited with, Willie Sim and Bobby.
Dan was married three times and has four biological children, Daniel, Charlotte, Angel and Shelly as well as three non-biological children Mike, Frank and Rhonesha. Dan, as well has many grandchildren; some of which he never knew. Recently room grew in Dan’s heart as he met for the first time the smiles of, Sarina, Christina, Isaiah, Jacob and Jerod.
After a 7 year relationship, Dan and Shari married and have been married for the past 20 years. They shared family pets Midnight, Rowdy and Smokey who met Dan at the Rainbow Bridge. And they currently have a 4 year old lab named Magic.
Dan enjoyed an extensive career in the Air Force and retired as a TSGT after 28 years of Active and Reservist duty. His careers also included 18 years as a Public Safety Officer with the State of Colorado at Ft. Logan Mental Health Hospital. In addition to this, tried his hand as an Uber/Lyft driver, mail carrier, security guard, HVAC tech, bindery worker at a print shop and a lengthy career as a quality control manager for ITT.
Dan enjoyed golf, NASCAR’s #5 Kasey Kahn, road trips, fast cars, fishing, and Jazz. He could sing a great tune on his own with words he made up to songs, but was horrible at keeping a tune with a song, and unfortunately, was not a good dancer. His favorite animal is the Bald Eagle and he has an extensive collection of memorabilia. His favorite movies included Pretty Woman, Legally Blonde and all the Jason Bourne movies.
Dan was a kind soul who never met a stranger he didn’t like. He would do just about anything for anyone who asked. He could calm a situation in seconds. He risked his own life to protect a stranger on the street, and in turn, put himself in harm’s way.
Dan passed on to heaven Thursday May 19th, 2016. He is deeply missed and loved by his family and friends.
