Lorna was born to Jean and Harold Onstine on August 12, 1931 in New Denver, British Columbia. As a young child they moved to Spokane, WA. where she graduated from Rogers High School. This is where she discovered her artistic ability which she continued throughout her life. Over the years she had countless art showings in Denver and in many of the western states. She won numerous awards and ribbons over the years for her paintings.
She belonged to many art clubs where she was a member and also served as president of Windsor Gardens art club. Her love of the Native American Indians and wild life inspired many of her paintings.
At the age of 18 she met her best friend Kathleen Schneider and they continued their friendship for the next 68 years until Lorna's death. They had many adventures and good times through the years that could fill a book with much laughter and a few tears.
She met the love of her life Jack Corathers at a dance in Spokane, Wa. and they were married shortly after that at the age of 26. Jack was in the Air Force and was shipped to Japan where Lorna followed and got a job in the civil service which she continued for the next 20 years. They retired to Aurora Colorado where they lived until Jacks death in 1990.
Lorna then moved to Spokane,Wa., Couer d' Alene, Id. and Lancaster, Ca. where her sister " Bunny" lived. She eventually moved back to Denver, Co. and lived at Windsor Gardens. She had many wonderful friends in the Denver community and also in the various places she lived throughout her life.
Lorna is survived by her nieces, Donya Schwarder, Andrea Lonien and Debra Arnold as well as numerous great nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Vickie.
She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Jack, her parents, and her sisters " Bunny" and Donna.
