On Thursday December 4th, 2025, Claire Elizabeth Wilson (born November 2nd, 2002) lost her lifelong battle with depression. Claire is survived by her parents, Lisa and Kevin Wilson, her sister, Lauren Wilson and her grandmothers, Susan Nigro and Claire Wilson. She is predeceased by her grandfathers, Tom Nigro and Don Wilson.
Claire struggled all her life with depression and anxiety. She fought hard against the disease but in the end, it was too much for her.
She will be fondly remembered for her awkward mannerisms, unique laugh, her deep concern for others and, of course, her love of playing alto saxophone and of jazz music.
Claire knew she was deeply loved by her extended family and a wonderful group of friends. In the end, she took every effort possible to ensure we were spared as much pain as possible. She will be dearly missed but we are comforted knowing she is no longer suffering.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, located at 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON, L4G6W8, Canada. The event will take place on December 14, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, with Words of Remembrance at 2 p.m.
