Danial Archibald MacDonald

Danial Archibald MacDonald passed away at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024. Pre-deceased by cherished wife of 50 years, Mary Catherine. Beloved father of Joseph, Francis, Mary-Clare, Anne, Colette and Kamil. Predeceased by his sons Ian and John. He will be dearly missed by his children and grandchildren: Katie, William, Emily, Meghan, Mikayla, Ainsley, Delaney, Bridget, Pearson, Maura, Reese, Danial, Savannah, Ryan and great-grandson Blair.

Danial will be fondly remembered by siblings Beth, Frank and Neil. Predeceased by siblings, Ian, Jimmy, Billy, Johnny, Michael, Loretta and Pearson. A devout Catholic, Danial was passionate about his faith and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Danial and his wife Mary’s lives were dedicated to helping others. Their door was always open and their home was always filled with friends and family. He was a gifted storyteller with a zest for life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home (530 Industrial Pkwy S, Aurora, ON L4G 6W8) on Monday, July 15th from 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 16th at 11:00 am at Saint Dunstan Roman Catholic Church (3150 Danforth Avenue, Scarborough ON) by dear family friend Fr. Jeffrey Masterson. Interment to follow at St John Cemetery (250 Main Street North, Newmarket ON).
