Uncle dan was a good man. He had lots of knowledge to share with me, when it came to time to need it. He knew more jokes than anyone I have known. One of the jokes he liked telling was this one..." The Good Lord told Daniel to come fourth. He sliped on a lion's dung, and came fith!" Dan had a joke for every situation. I will miss Dan. It's too bad he passed on, at such an early age.

Dan is going to be missed by us all.  He has been a big part of our lives as well has his own family.  There are going to be alot of hard days ahead and i am sure that we all are going to have some times that we will all wish he was still here.  He was a joker and always a book of knowledge that he could be asked anything and he could give one the answer they needed.  I know Bruce and Dan have ties that go back pretty far. Our children will miss him as well as our grand children that got to know him.  The ones that didn't will be told.  I can truly say that he was a well loved man.  Hockey and baseball won't be the same or the weather talks.  He was never one to be lazy and if someone needed help he was there for them. We will still have the versus that he wrote inside our walls in the house he helped build with us.  Love Bruce,June and all the kids

With every new dawn, is the beginning of a another day. Lynda, each day you arise, see the brilliance in the sunrise and the warmth of the sun. In that, you will find Dan, closest to your heart, and forever there for you.

I have a lot of fond memories of Uncle Dan from when I would go to the cottage as a child. He was a very wise man. He would tell the best stories ever. He could make you smile and laugh with out even trying. He was a good man and will be dearly missed....but he will still live on in each and everyones life he has touched. Im just sorry my daughter Kailee never got the chance to meet him.

I remember Uncle Dan was one of the funniest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. He always managed to make me laugh as he always had a joke to tell.  It's funny I was thinking of something he said the other day referring to boobs. I remember that he would on occasion refer to them as carley floats.

He was also a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and uncle for his family.  Always willing to help out anyone who needed it.  I miss the summers that I use to spend with him and Aunt Lynda at the cottage.

He will forever be alive in all of our memories and our hearts.

I remember Dan as the most patient man I have every had the pleasure to have known. He was a great son-in-law. I have so many fond memories of shared times we spent at the cottage and when he visited in florida. One of the most recent things Dan did for me that I will cherish is the endless hours he spent transfering my cassette tapes onto CD's, he did this knowing I was having a very difficult time in using them because of my loss of sight. Each and every time I play them I will be thinking of him and his kindness. Oh how we are going to miss you Dan not only were you my son in law you were a good and kind friend.

I am very sad to hear of the passing of my Uncle Dan. My dad, Peter, always spoke of him with great love and respect. I always looked forward to seeing him at family gatherings. He will be greatly missed.

Dan will will be missed very much.He was the best granpa to all of his grandkids. He was such a loving and welcoming, kind person.

Uncle Dan was a great man, very caring and giving any help he could no matter how big or small he would do it, anyone that was down he would lift up their spirit with jokes and kindness!  I will miss him so much have missed him for awhile since i haven't seen him in years! I love you and hope everyone takes his advice he gave and keeps living life the way he would want them too, to be happy and always think of him and still learn from his ways!

There is no greater guardian angel than Uncle Dan. His laughter and silliness was the inspiration to let go of the petty things and see that life is what you make of it, and how you choose to live. Well Dad I just wanted to say here as I didnt get the chance the other day to say how much I have appreciated and looked up to you all my life that I am gratefull for having you for father.

My sincere condolences to you and your wonderful family, Linda. I know how much you will miss Dan as I was around when you two first fell in love. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

First I want to offer my condolences to all the Family. Mr. C (Dan) to me was an example of what it meant to put others first. I can remember when I was a teen coming by the house to visit his boys and no matter what was always  welcome. I think he knew where I was headed and felt sorry for me lol! but anyway I met Bill W through him and now today I’m a better man who wants to get better. Thank you Dan ,I’m going to miss seeing you around . You were one of the few people who seemed genuinely glad to see me just kidding .Rest in Peace Sir.

Dan was the Joy of my life and I'm going to miss him more than anyone can know as will the entire family but in our hearts we know Dan put up a corageous fight for as long as he could for our sakes more than for his own. I say this because I know back in 2006 when Dan was in emerg his heart went into arrest 5 times during the last one he experienced such a happy and warm feeling and said he saw members of his family as children playing in the sand laughing and enjoying themselves and he had wanted to stay and join them when the doctors admistred the defib and brought him back he said he felt very upset as he had felt so content there he resented having to leave, because of this experience Dan only felt there was a happy place waiting for him where he would be reunited with those who had gone before and he had no fears about returning. 
Dan was an insperation to many over the years both to myself his sons and their families but to many he met and loved thru his groups and friends of Bill W.. Dan and our Family Dr. Bill Diamond were involved in coaching the kids Hockey in the early years and maybe some of these young boys now men will remember the good times also the ones in the Scouting  that Dan was involved with when the boys  were growing up. I hope those who met and had Dan involved in their lives will submit stories they recall from past years it would be greatly appreciated . Just remember don't be sad dan has gone on to a happy and peaceful next stage of his being and as he told me recently he does not want his family and friends being sad he wants all to move on thinking only of the good memories and happy times we all shared.

My condolences to the Campbell family.  May all of you take a little piece of Daniel with you in your own journeys through life.
