We send our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to you and your family.  We have good memories of time spent with you and Gary in your Perth visits to Carol's.   We especially remember the visits when we celebrated  New Year's together.  Gary was so likeable, a person who saw life through a glass half full never half empty.  In this difficult time may you and your family experience much comfort and love as you grieve for Gary.

Dear Maiers family...Gary & I shared some 'funny'/interesting education stories at Bayview S.S...Gary was a very kind, gentle and gracious man.  It was always a delight to see an old friend and colleague at the Chilvers' Christmas or Corn Roast parties...it was like Homecoming.  I will miss such a 'down-to-earth' man, loved by all, Gary brought out the best in people.

So sad to lose this kind, generous friend and colleague.  My home is full of reminders of him.  He and John did lots of renovations here during his retirement years.  Miss him and his smile, and his laugh, already.

There was so much we did not know about Gary but what we did know was he was a kind and gentle man who loved his family greatly. We will always remember him smiling...it was infectious. Our hearts and prayers are with you as is his spirit.  Brenda and Dennis Davidson

Hello my dears,  we are so sorry to hear that Gary's fight has ended.  He tried so hard to beat it.  He was always so important to us and I have wonderful memories of good times together from the time we were children...at the cottage and at each other's homes.  Love and condolences to all of you.
