

Passed away peacefully at home on February 8, 2016. Born October 24,1947 in Bannia, Italy, predeceased by his parents Antonio & Adalgisa Bottos. Survived by his son Tito & Tito’s mother Celeste (Italy). He will be sadly missed by his brother Frank & wife Marlene, nephew Adrian & family and his sister Nadia & husband John, niece Lauren, extended family & by his many friends around the world.Giorgio graduated in Urban Studies from York University & then pursued a career in cinematography at the London International Film School. His passion for film making, travel & adventure along with his independent & free spirited attitude took him to the remotest parts of the world. As a Producer, Director & Cinematographer he contributed to various Feature Films starting with ‘Quest for Fire’ in 1980 to the most recent ‘Los Feliz’ in 2015. He produced numerous Documentaries as an Independent Producer & for major TV Networks including BBC-TV, RAI,National Geographic, TVO, CTV, W5, Discovery Channel, French-TV5, recently as Director & Director of Photography for the TV Series, ‘David Rocco’s Dolce Vita’, Italy and Story Editor for ‘Dolce India’.Cremation has taken place. As per Giorgio’s wishes there will be no service. A Celebration of his Life for family and friends will be held on Saturday February 20, 2016 from 2.00 to 4.00 PM at the Gardens Community Centre, 22 Belle Terre Way, Swan Lake Village, Markham L6E 2A2.
