For 62 years, Gordon shared a devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Phoebe (Randell). Together they built a home filled with warmth and laughter. He was the proud father of two sons, Jeff (Nicola) and Scott (Angie). He was the cherished grandfather of Jessica and Geoffrey, who affectionately called him “Miep” from the time they were small. Their mother, Rose, has always remained a part of the family, and Gordon valued the love and care she continued to share with them all. In later years, he also welcomed Angie’s daughters, Haille and Paige, into his heart as grandchildren, embracing them with the same warmth and pride. He will also be missed by Nicola's children; Ben, Julia, Sofia and Stefano. Gordon also leaves behind his brother in law, Dave Randell (Linda) and family. Gordon was predeceased by his brother Bill, and is lovingly remembered by Bill’s wife Phyllis and their family. He treasured the love and support of all those near and dear to him.
Those blessed to know Gordon will remember him as the most humble and genuine of men. Mild-mannered and easygoing, he welcomed everyone with open arms and an open mind. His quick wit often caught people delightfully off guard — a perfectly timed remark that could fill the room with laughter. Right up until the end, his gentle humour reminded those around him of the joy and light he carried within. His caring nature, paired with this playful spark, left an imprint on every life he touched.
Gordon worked as a Salesman at CHUBB Security for 36 years where he was admired for his dedication and his ability to sell ice to a penguin. It is because of this, that Gordon acquired the names— The man, The myth, The legend.
Beyond work, Gordon was an avid reader, a true lover of westerns and one who valued time, laughter, and togetherness above all.
His legacy is carried forward not only by his family, but also by all who had the privilege of knowing him. To know Gordon was to love him — and to be loved by him was to feel truly welcomed and accepted.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever honoured.
