Grant and I met in 2008 I worked at a Retirement home where he was a resident.  He would take his little dog Chip out for walks and would always stop at my desk and visit.  He was a very kind man and such a gentleman.  Grant moved on to a different residence and I moved on as well.  We would meet for lunch almost monthly , we would talk about our families, he was very proud of his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.  The last time I talked with Grant I could tell he was getting tired and that he couldn’t quite remember who I was, thats ok Grant you rest.  I will think of you often with a smile on my face and many great memories  - we will meet again.

We had many found memories of Uncle Grant. He loved his family and getting together with everyone.  Each summer when Uncle Grant came to Aurora,  he would ensure that a visit to the 105 Wells Street house porch was on his agenda.  He always enjoyed a cup of coffee while catching up with Pearl and looking for an update on each one of her family members. Uncle Grant will be greatly missed!!

I was in Edmonton for my cousin Lori's (Uncle Grant's daughter) wedding and stayed with Aunt Mary and Uncle Grant.  The wedding was beautiful however the wedding party arrived at reception late as Edmonton won the Stanley Cup that night.  lol.  When all was over,  we went back to Aunt Mary and Uncle Grant's and continued to drink till after 4 am.  Well out came the big bag of hats and Doug and Uncle Grant had us laughing so hard with their quips and modelling of all these hats.  Uncle Grant was always fun to be around.  A sweet, kind and generous man.  You will always be missed by many Uncle Grant.

Uncle Grant was kind, sweet,  gentleman.  A loving father who was so proud of his kids and grandkids.  I spent every summer with Aunt Mary & Uncle Grant as a child and loved every second of holidays.  Uncle G loved his desserts!  He and Aunt Mary we’re so much fun and incidentally, cut a mean swath on the dance floor.  He was and is loved and missed, leaving us all with great memories. ❤️
