

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Jacqueline Teresa Brandreth (Devine) in her 87th year on Thursday, January 29th, 2015 at Chartwell Aurora Nursing Home. Jackie celebrated her 60th Wedding Anniversary in 2011 and now she is reunited with her high school sweetheart, Brandy. She was a loving mother to five children: Michael (Barbara) of Mississauga, ON, Pat (Warren) of Newmarket, ON, Dan (Barb) of Squamish, BC, Casey (Wendy) of Rockwood, ON and John of Chilliwack, BC. Jackie cherished her twelve grandchildren, Kelly (Nathaniel), Darcie (Kevin), Erik, Kevin, Patrick, Dean, Sean, Makenzie, Greg, Jessica, Devin and Ben, as well as her four great grandchildren Silas, Noelle, Dashiell and Memphis. Born and raised in Iroquois Falls, ON. Jackie was a proud Northerner who spent the last four years of her life at the Kingsway Arms Retirement Home. Jackie was predeceased by her mother Helena Devine, father Mac Devine, sisters Barbara Haynes (John), Vivian Stanutz (George) and brother Lance Devine. She will be greatly missed by sisters Sylvia Miles (the late Bud), Linda Harkins (Norwood) and sister-in-law Joan Devine, and brothers Mickey Devine (Marg) John Devine (Bev), Gary Devine (Lynne) and Frank Devine (Bonnie). Jackie was the consummate mother, sister and grandmother. She enjoyed having family and friends in her home and possessed a unique knack for making people feel comfortable and welcome. Jackie was fortunate to have enjoyed a life of few regrets and many blessings. She has a profound effect on all her family and friends. Mom enjoyed life to the fullest and her smile will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South (at Yonge St) in Aurora, ON. 905-727-5421, on Friday April 17th , 2015 at 12 noon with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Jackie suffered with dignity, from Alzheimer disease and the family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in her name to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
