Jean Denny

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother on Sunday April 6, 2014 at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket. Jean was born in Timmins, Ontario on February 5, 1920. She worked in her father’s business, The Rudloph McChesney Lumber Mill but moved to Toronto when she was in her 20”s. There, she reconnected with an old family friend, Ronald Denny, also from Timmins, fell in love and married him in 1956. She was predeceased by him in 1971, and by her beloved son, Mark in 1978. Jean is survived by her daughter, Anne, son-in-law, Randy, and her two grandchildren, Mark and Matthew. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 1 pm at Trinity Anglican Church, 79 Victoria Street, Aurora, with a celebration of her life to follow at 2 pm. Memorial donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or The Trinity Anglican Church Endowment Fund. We also would like to thank the wonderful staff at Southlake for their gentle care and the staff at the Oak Ridges Retirement Community.
