Your Mother/Babcia was a very special lady,I was lucky enough to have her as my Godmother as well.I always thought she was so glamorous.She always looked so well put together.....even at the cottage....even at the cottage after chasing her grandkids around weeks on end.....I always wondered ???....How does she do it??? How could she always look so good??And to boot she was a great cook and baker! Whenever we came by the cottage she ALWAY had a HOMEMADE MEAL and a DESSERT ready to put on the table.It was unbelievable ,and after all that she still made some time for herself to go play some cards or visit friends or go for an evening swim.
She was such a well rounded lady that I admired and will never forget.

Dear Barb,
 I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to you and all your  family at this sad time! I hope you can keep all your wonderful memories alive by sharing with your family the ones you hold close in your hearts! 
So sorry that I was unable to attend the memorial to support you all.
 I remember your Mom was a bright spirit whenever I was at your house as a kid & when she phoned my house looking for you when you were awol she was a force to be reckoned with -a strong lovely lady!

My memories of Cocia Czesia go back to my earliest childhood. She was someone who was a big part of my life from the beginning, whether in Toronto or at the cottage, she was looking out for us kids. I remember the delicious meals she cooked, and of course we were thrilled when she baked her famous lemon cake. She always had time to talk and catch up on news, and took a genuine interest in all of us as we were growing up. In my mind, I will always remember her cheerful smile. 
My condolences for her passing. We will all miss her greatly.

I remember her at the cottage, welcoming us and always making sure we were fed! I feel honoured to have been entrusted with her tomato sauce recipe as well as that for her lemon cake. 
Jessie was a lovely lady, and will be fondly remembered.

We want to share our most heartfelt condolences for Jessie’s passing. Ciocia was a big part of our lives and memories growing up and will be dearly missed. We  always remember her as a warm, kind, happy individual who cared about others and always took a genuine interest in how they were doing. I can still see her in my mind playing her cards, laughing and socializing at the cottage. She was the best hostess and her cake was legendary.  I always though Ciocia was such a classy and beautiful woman inside and out—someone I looked up to as I was growing up. She will not be forgotten. Our love to you and your family.

Dear Barbara, 
When I think of your mom, I think of our history... I think about playing at your house, going to school together,  growing thru’ our many ups and downs, sharing our ideas, emotions, troubles and complaints...and yes some of them did concern our moms!  We have a much better perspective now, don’t we?
I remember your mom as a kind , soft spoken, gentle  and welcoming person. I remember Christmas Eves at your house...your friends were welcomed even though your mom was hosting a houseful of family. I remember spending time with that family, in the city and at the cottage..because of your mom and dad. 
I remember your mom showing up at  my door ... Not too happy..but she didn’t hold a grudge...and she grew to understand and appreciate the love that you and Rick shared and the life you built. She was filled with joy to have two beautiful granddaughters and she relished sharing her time with them. I remember that she loved the cottage and spent her time there for as long as she could. She loved playing cards and you helped her find a way to do that for as long as she was able.
She raised a fantastic daughter; one , with whom I am so happy to say, I have been able to share friendship and all parts of our lives, for almost 60 years!!  ... a daughter whom she appreciated till her last days on earth....a daughter who loved her mother. 
I know all this  despite not having seen your mom for the last 5 years, but simply by hearing you talk about her and the things you were doing together. I so wish that  your mom would have felt able to visit here at my place when you took her to her last Doctor’s  appointment nearby. I wish I’d been able to spend some time with the two of you together.
Barb, I know you will always cherish your mom, honour her life,  keep her close in your heart and take solace in the memories you and your family will share forevermore. I wish you, Rick, Elise and Monica, strength and peace as you face this new sorrow.  Love always, Patti.
