Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre surrounded by family on May 29, 2013.
Maria was born October 14, 1927 in Holland, grew up in Germany and immigrated to Canada. She moved to Aurora in 1966 where she lived for the next 47 years.
Predeceased by loving husband Meinrad Michael and survived by 6 children (and spouses): Rosemarie (Randy), Barbara (Luke), Kathe (Bill), Mia (Jamie), Christian (Rose) and Marcus (Julie), 13 grandchildren: Alexander (Nicole), Marika (Greg), Chadwick, Amber, Mikaela, Logan, Cameron, Kirsten, Rachel, Dylan, Sebastian, Rebecca and Megan and 2 great-granddaughters: Abigail and Addison.
The family would like to thank the staff at Princess Margaret Hospital. and at Southlake Regional Health Centre for their support and care.
Private arrangements have been made. A Time of Memory Sharing will be held at family’s residence from 2-4pm on June 22.
