Mathias Alfred Jan Welzel

Mathias will be deeply missed by his mother, Monika, father Mike and his Partner, Ruth Robinson, his sister Jessica his Omi & Opa, Lucia Welzel (Alfred Welzel), his Babi & Deda, Anna and Jan Bombala, his Aunt and Uncle, Eva and Jim McFarlane and Cousins Jason and Lauren McFarlane. Sadly missed by his best friend Martin and his friends of “The Camping Gang”, his relatives in Europe and others who were friends of the family.

Mathias had an adventurous soul, he loved traveling and exploring the great outdoors. Many great memories were made on yearly camping trips and hiking the mountains in Alberta. You could never get him out of the water, after spending all day swimming at the cottage he would still want to go kayaking, boating or tubing. He loved music especially old rock bands, he would spend hours mastering a song and most of the time hooked up to the amplifier on full blast to make sure everyone could hear how good he was. He always was there to show his sister something cool. Whether it be a video or funny old thing he found of dad’s in the garage, whether she liked it or not he was always there to annoy her but in the best way.

We will miss his beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and quick wit.
