My deepest condolences to Mike's family and friends. 
What started out as just a co-worker relationship, quickly  developed into an amazing friendship over the past 12 years between Mike and myself. 
 He was one of the strongest and funniest people that I have ever met. He loved working for the TTC and never complained about his job. He was kind to anyone that he crossed paths with, and was always willing to help someone in need. He was so witty and clever and we always teased each other and made each other laugh. We went to the gym together during our lunch breaks and always made time to meet with each other for a coffee throughout the week. As he got sick, he showed how strong he was and never gave up hope and kept his sense of humour the entire time. My friend Adrian and I got to know his amazing mother (Helen) and sister (Katie) while Mike fought hard and was in and out of hospitals. His family showed what true love is as they were always by his side.
He was such a positive and genuine person and did I mention funny?
He will be deeply missed. 

Love you Mike. Thanks for all the great times, memories and laughs we shared together. I will always remember you brother.

I worked with Mike at TTC for a few years. We met occasionally  on the bus, and or at the Arrow Road Division.  Mike came across as a genuine guy. He was very friendly, loved baseball, and football, and sports in general.  He knew his sports, He was very proud of his family, and 3 sons. He was one of the nicest guys I met. It was always a pleasure to converse with Mike.  He showed his wit, charm, modesty, and kindness, generosity, and had a good sense of humour.  My deepest sympathy, and condolences on the passing of your Father, and Husband.  He was a truly wonderful person, loved by so many. He will be dearly missed by all of his family, relatives and friends.  Mike will forever hold a very special place in our hearts.

Dear family of Mike, i did not know Mike because we only met him one time when he came to Gary and Judy's place. The only thing we could do is pray for Mike and hoping God would hear us. Now that he is gone we pray that he will be with God in heaven where there is no more pain! My prayers for the family and friends now that have to learn to live without him.

Mike will be missed by so many 💔 love and hugs to the boys.

Mike, in March 2019 when our paths crossed, I could have never imagined what lay ahead.  After a difficult marriage and as a single mom to 3 young boys, I put forward a brave face but life was not as it seemed. I was filled with so much doubt and fear. You restored my faith in love, you made me feel safe, you brought back my ability to trust in myself and others, my ability to laugh, and my ability to be vulnerable. You did it all while showing my boys how to be a man. Your dedication to them was unwavering and even though it took time, you broke down their walls by loving them even when it was hard.  

I am forever thankful for the time we spent together. You may no longer be with us but your legacy remains in every life that you touched and influenced. I wish life had turned out differently but the world’s loss is heaven’s gain.  I’m sure you are just cracking them up with your wittiness and abundance of energy.  

Don’t forget, Mike is the best. Gas station puppies ;)

I had the pleasure of playing baseball with Mike for many years, which included many Championships. I am 20 years older than Mike and he was a much better player than I was, yet he always came to me offering little tips or asking how he could be better. He always had my back on the field. I played 1st base and he played 2nd. We would always talk before games as we warmed up, discussing situations that could come up during the game. He was one of the most favourite people I’ve ever played baseball with and I’ve played for over 45 years. I will always have a spot in my heart for Mike. His love for his boys and knowing that he taught  them the right way to treat others will be his lasting legacy.  You were one of a kind Mike. You will be missed my friend

I was heartbroken to hear about Michael’s passing. I can’t imagine the depth of your loss, and there are no words that can truly ease that kind of pain. Still, I wanted you to know that you’ve been on my mind ever since I heard the news.

Thinking back to the time we worked together, I remember the kind of man you were — steady, hardworking, and someone everyone respected. I’ve no doubt Michael inherited much of that strength and character from you. Though I never had the chance to meet him, I am sure he carried with him the best parts of you, and that he made a lasting impact on those who knew him.

I've known Mike since high school, and I have so many great memories of laughs we shared and Leaf games watched (sadly, more losses than wins lol). In more recent years, Mike and I would catch up at Grinton family gatherings, sharing updates about our lives and I always loved that it felt like we could reconnect without missing a beat. Mike, with his warm smiles and big hugs, had such a special way of making everyone feel welcome. From out of the room matches and wwe smackdowns (him getting mad at me for always laying on my back and kicking so he couldn’t get me), playing video games, riding bikes, to Mike always offering to beat up some boy I liked, Mike was the best and always there.  Always loving and fun and kind and hilarious and willing to be step in and be the big brother I didn’t have, in all the ways.
Mike touched the lives of so many and will be deeply missed. I know I will. I will hold on to every laugh, every silly thing he said, every time he’d get Katie in trouble at the kitchen table, and every peoples eyebrow. All of it. In loving memory.

Mike, I will always remember the first time we met. I ended up not being in the best of shape and ended up in the hospital with a gallbladder attack. Then we met again and you were in the hospital, i mentioned to you that we had to stop meeting like this ❤️ Even with what you were going through you managed to laugh.
