Surrounded by family, Monday August 1, 2011 at Soldier Memorial Hospital, Orilla in his 54th year, as a result of an accident was tragically taken from his family. World’s greatest father to Matthew and Alanna, loving partner to Susie(Ox). Dear son of Grace and Ben Hordijk and the late Bruce Lubbock. Brother of Kathy (Keith) McCarroll, Janet (Tom), Graham, Philip (Grace, Anastasia, Casey), Gregory (Camille), remembered by Lisa Lubbock. Totally awesome uncle to many nieces, nephews and dynamic cousin to many around the world.
A highlight of his career was his 25 years with the Toronto Star including his position as District Manager. A special thank you to those who assisted at the scene. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society or the Special Olympics Barrie.
