With her family by her side, Moira passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on July 11, 2022. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Carlo “Berto” Rossi. Dearly loved mother of Lisa (Ian) and Michael (Casey). Moira, aka “The Oracle”, will be sadly missed by Heather and Sean (Sam) as well as the extended Rossi/Deakin/Cao clans, a multitude of cousins in England, and Linda, her neighbour extraordinaire. Penny, her dearly loved granddog will miss her “Nana”.
Born in England, Moira boldly emigrated to Toronto on her own at the age of 25. Here she met and married Berto, the love of her life and started a family that settled in Aurora where she lived for over 50 years. Moira filled her life with family, friends and interests in books, newspapers, theatre, music, cooking and travel. Hers was a life well lived.
A gathering to celebrate Moira’s life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm at Thompson Funeral Home in Aurora. Interment at The Aurora Cemetery will be a private family affair at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre or the Ontario SPCA York Region Animal Centre in Moira’s name.
