Dear Andrea, Leigh, Jen, Wendy and all of your extended family.  We are so sorry for your loss. Paul was a wonderful and kind soul.  I have great memories of him going to the cottage when Andrea and I were kids.  He always knew how to make us laugh.  He will truly be missed by all.  May his memories remain with us forever.  Sending you strength and comfort during these difficult times.

As young children I remember playing with Paul and Marlene in front of our hardeware store in Caledon East.  Years later I met Paul at his fathers ( Lloyd ) ..A reunion of all the first cousins at his home in Toronto.
In 2007 my wife and I took care of his 2 grey hound dogs and his house in Payson , Utah. for 7 weeks while Paul was away. We got to know Paul a lot for a few days before and after his trip. 
In 2021 on  our return from skiing out west we stopped for a visit with Paul in Blind River. He talked about his health problems and our memories. He was very upbeat and still working.  My brother(George) and I talked  several times with Paul in the past year  on the phone.  Our condolences to his family. He will be missed.

Our sincere condolences on Paul's passing.  Many fond memories of the time we spent at General Foods, Playing poker till the we hours and  him teaching me how to fillet a fish. A great guy, full of life. My only wish is that we did not have the opportunity to get together over the past 2 years. Life can be short but Paul's was well lived.

To The Berney Family,

I knew Paul 46+ years ago;  but lost touch with him when he got married.  We found me and became friends about  3 years ago and was fun reminiscing about the good old days.  He spoke about his girls and grandchildren with such love and pride.  He sure hadn't changed much; still Tall Paul with good looks and lots to say.  I will miss our phone conversations and am thankful you were in my life.  You can now Rest in Peace with no pain.

Paul and I go back over 55 years of memories. 
We first met while working as teenagers at a neighbourhood Dominion Store in Willowdale. 
Also with another close friend, Gary Dominico who also worked there, we became a trio, on weekends whether frequenting bars( yes we were all under age but looked the part) playing euchre tournaments or just doing the nightclub thing on sat nights downtown. 
As time went on, we also enjoyed hunting small game, birds and ducks migrating to moose hunting in our twenties. Paul and I loved the challenge of the hunt, exploring the wilderness by canoe, finding and tracking moose in Ontario’s northern parts almost as far north as Moosonee. 
We would spend anywhere from 10 day to three weeks in the bush and sometimes we got lucky and got our moose but it did not really matter. What we really enjoyed was being in the bush, making camp, cooking our meals over a wood stove and discussing our lives and challenges. 
Years later we joined up with two other moose hunters to form a group almost 19 years ago. The group grew to over 10 at one point and we became very successful every year filling our tags. Paul thoroughly enjoyed hunting with the group up until a few years ago prior to being diagnosed. 
In the past few weeks Paul and I reminisced about our years of hunting together. He wanted to go back to the bush this fall but it was not to be. We spoke almost everyday for years and his passing has left a large void in our lives. Paul and I were more like brothers as we knew every intimate detail of each others life. 
Paul will be greatly missed by all especially by his precious daughter's and eight lovely grand children. 
Rest in Peace Paul. 

We are so sorry to hear about Paul's passing.  He was very lucky to be looked after by such a warm and loving family when he was ill.  

Paul's contribution to Indigenous nations is very commendable.  

Paul was a very nice man and he will be sorely missed.

I was so said to hear of your passing Thursday when I drove over from Port Perry on Saturday to hopefully talk about our good old days at Borden Foods ( before we bought Catelli,what where we thinking ) 
It was a great place to work , with lots of friends and good times.
Taking over from you as National Sales Manager were big shoes to fill 
Our trips to Dallas and Chicago meeting all our Canadian grocery customers were also great times driving around in stretch limos.
We have lost SO MANY good friends since our Borden Reunion in 2008, WOW 15 years ago. No more  pain today on Easter Sunday
