The family of Robert Varney of Aurora is saddened to announce his passing on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the age of 76 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Patricia; children: Lesley (Tommy), Paul (Daniela) and Chris (Angela); granddaughters: Ava and Rachel; sister, Barbara; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Robert always spoke fondly of his time at IBM, the opportunities the company provided during his tenure and the long-lasting relationships he formed with the people that he worked alongside.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robert’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Southlake Hospital for their attention and compassion while Robert was in their care.
