Peacefully on Friday May 9, 2025 at Southlake Residential Care Village at the age of 77. Loving partner of the late Douglas Outhwaite. Beloved sister of Cyril (Violet) and Dorman (Mary). Will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews; Scott, Tammy (Norman Dilomount), Shane and Kevin. Great Aunt to Zachary, Cody, Curtis, Amber, Gregory and Noah and their children.
Born in Bloomfield, Bona Vista Bay, Newfoundland to the late Wallace and Jane Coles. She loved to knit, crochet and shop on her scooter. Shirley loved her cats and enjoyed taking many photos of them.
Although life was not always kind to Shirley, she was tenacious and refused to let anything slow her down. She will be so greatly missed.
In honour of Shirley's memory, her family kindly ask you to consider a donation to Sick Kids in lieu of flowers.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON. Visitation will take place on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 10 am until time of the Memorial Service in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am. Urn burial to follow at Aurora Cemetery.
