Prior to retirement, Shirley was employed in the Directors Office for the York Region District Board of Education for many years.
She enjoyed traveling to sunny destinations, visiting with family, shopping and prior to failing health, was a volunteer at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband Grant of 45 years, is her son, Norm, her daughter Christina, her daughter in law Raquel and grandchildren Emily, Thomas and Madeleine.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 24, 2022 from 10 - 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8,
