One long year has passed since you left us mom. I think of you every day and feel that you are still all around me.I wish I could hug you one more time.

Dearest mom, one year ago today we had our last day together.I have been reviewing in my mind all that we did that day. We ate breakfast, watered the garden, went to yours and dad's condo and sorted your clothes. We met dad briefly in the parking garage. Since it was late afternoon and we had missed lunch, we ate an early dinner at Jonathan's (Greek food). You had wanted to go to the bank but we decided to do that the next day. We went for a walk and then sat to watch the evening news. Jack Layton announced that he was taking time off to treat his illness. You said that he did not look good and you were right, he died a month later.The main story was the shooter in Norway and you said he was crazy. We said good night and you went to watch more news in the basement. That is where I found you the next morning still holding the remote control in your right hand. 
It has been a long and sad year without you.I am grateful to have had you as my mother and hope you are at peace. You are forever in my heart.

Yesterday I had my first birthday without you mom.I know you are in a better place and I am grateful to have had you for 56 birthdays, but I wish you were still here.

I found you "sleeping" 11 months ago today. You are forever in my heart and on my mind.

10 months since you left us mom, I still think of you every day.XO

We had your funeral and said good-bye one month ago. Time is passing slowly. Your candle is still burning at our house and I say a prayer every day.I know you are watching over us! Love you lots mom!!!

We miss you very much, Abaka. You were an amazing grandmother and you gave me and the boys an incredible mother. We love you.

Your funeral was two weeks ago mom. The weather was beautiful and many people came to pay their respects. You would have loved the flowers, there were so many. Father Bob from our church had a very hard time with your name. You would have found it funny the different ways he said Zlata.I miss you so much and think of you every day.

You left us two weeks ago and we are still very sad! I do feel comfort in knowing that I now have a special guardian angel looking over me!

I am sorry for your loss. Your mother enjoyed people and was always welcoming. Zlata added to the happiness at any time that I met with her and your family. I am sure she will be dearly missed. My best wishes are with all of you.

I am very sorry to hear about Aunt Zlata's passing. I have wonderful memories of her visiting us as kids-- I'm just so sorry we lost touch.
She clearly meant so much to so many people -- I hope all the fond memories you have of her is making it a little easier for you all during this sad time.

Your mother was a great lady, Julie - full of life and love she never held back from showing. She was such a big part of your family's life, I can hardly imagine how disorienting her departure is for you, Gerry, Matthew, Laura, and Daniel. I hope that sharing all the happy memories together will bring comfort. I will always remember how much Zlata clearly enjoyed how much I enjoyed her cabbage rolls! Love to all of you.

I miss you very much. I still have trouble understanding that you are gone, because you've been a part of our lives since before I can remember, and I can't imagine a life without you in it. I hope  that you are at peace, and know that I love you now and always.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Zlata.  I was fortunate to speak with her on the phone a few months ago after almost 30 years of being out of touch.  I am glad that she "tracked" me down. I am at home in Aurora with Mom and Didi now and we all miss you so much. I keep catching myself glancing outside, half-expecting to see you puttering around in the garden or chasing after the neighbour`s cats. 
We all love you so much and cannot stop thinking about you. 

Me and the boys are so blessed to have had you in our lives as we grew up, to have had you so involved, at all the birthdays and graduations and Christmases. Looking through all these photographs of you, I am happy to see what a colourful life you lived, full of friends, family, and exciting travels. I hope you are at peace now and that you will keep an eye on us from up above. We will never forget you and how incredible your love was for your entire family.

s iznanadjenjem i nevjericom smo jutros primili ovu tuznu vijest o Zlati, koja nas je neizmjerno 
rastuzila, jer ( barem ovdje za nas ) to se dogodilo nekako neocekivano. Zlata je bila tako divna i
draga osoba, uvjek puna zivota i sva nasa kratka druzenja posljednjih godina s njom ovdje u Samoboru, 
u nasim ce sjecanjima zauvijek ostati u najljepsim uspomenama. Tesko nam je sad prihvatiti da je vise 
nema i da ce nam ta njena vedrina u buducnosti trajno nedostajati. Takodjer nam je tesko rijecima opisati 
koliko nam je zao sto je upravo vas dragi Braco i Julia i upravo sad zadesio ovako tezak gubitak. 
Gubitak koji se nicim na ovome svijetu ne moze nadoknaditi. 

U ovim za vas preteskim trenucima pratimo vas u nasim mislima i zelimo vam oboje puno dusevne
snage, da nekako prebrodite sve ove duge i bolne dane prepune tuge i zalosti.
