Aasim Amar’e Araf

He was born on April 20, 2017 in Austin, Texas to his parents, Josephine Rios and Amar Araf.

Aasim loved going to school and his favorite part was the bus rides. He loved to watch Thomas The Train and listen to his favorite music daily. His favorite toys to play with were his phone and toy remote. He enjoyed swinging on the swings and sliding down the slide at the playground with his mom. He loved playing with his dads’ New York Yankees hat. And he also enjoyed singing with his sisters.

He was preceded in death by, Great Grandma Paula Lopez Garcia.

Aasim is survived by his mother, Josephine Rios; his father, Amar Araf; his sisters Laila and Amira Araf; his grandparents; his huge family of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Friends are invited to visit with Aasims’ family from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Ave, Austin, Texas 78704. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00pm. Once visitation has ended, the family will be hosting a Candlelight Vigil at 8:30pm in the parking lot of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704.
