

Addison Jerry (AJ) Kee passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 18, 2005 after a very short and sudden illness at the age of 72. AJ was born on December 16, 1932 in Fort Worth, Texas, raised in Dallas and has been a resident of Austin since 1985. AJ was preceded in death by his parents, Addison and Gladys Kee, and his son, Alan Kee. He was a very gentle and caring man with a great sense of humor and deeply touched the lives of all who knew him. AJ was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. AJ was an army veteran, who served in the Korean War. He had a distinguished career of 45 years in the insurance industry. He loved the outdoors and spent the last 13 years living in the country outside of Austin overseeing and enjoying the bounty of nature in the Hill Country. AJ was an ardent fisherman and trap-shooter participating in numerous competitions throughout the country. Surviving family members include: Betty Young Kee, his wife of 20 years; son Sandy Kee of Dallas; daughter Holly Bock of Dallas; stepdaughter Robin Young Tompkins and husband Derek of Arlington; stepson, Greg Young, and wife Lisa of Austin; stepdaughter Brooks Annarino and husband Hans of LaGrange; grandchildren Fallon and Lance Bock, Sydney, Spenser and Samantha Young, Xander Tompkins, Brice Tadlock and Blakely Annarino. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Austin, 4107 Spicewood Springs Road, Suite 100, Austin, Texas 78759 or to a favorite charity. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 21st at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar, Austin, TX 78705.
