A.R. (Raymond) Trautwein, Sr. A.R. (Raymond) Trautwein, Sr. , 94, lifelong resident of Austin, died July 4, 2003 Born on the Trautwein Homestead in Driftwood, Texas , November 18, 1908, he grew up on the family ranch near Dripping Springs, Texas. He is survived by his wife Florence Keng Trautwein and two children, A.R. Trautwein, Jr., of Kemah, Texas, and Amelia Ann Goodrich of League City, Texas. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He retired as a salesman from Jacob E. Decker & Co. serving as A&P mechanic and later as C.A.A. inspector at Bergstrom Field during WWII. After retirement, he spent the remainder of his life ranching on the family ranch. Pallbearers will be Steve Curran, of Austin, Patrick Goins, Chris Goins, Charles Keng, John Trautwein, M.D., of Houston, and Bett Bottenfield of San Antonio. Friends are requested to visit the family at the farm. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Dripping Springs Public Library or to a charity of ones choice.
