Dear Winnie and family...The last time I talked to 
Andrew, he let me talk about when we  babysit for him and his brothers.. we  talked about his father and how we would remember  Tom when he would loss his health battle...the conversation covered many memories....I will always remember... Our love to you all... you are in our thoughts and prayers    Uncle Dave and Aunt June....

Andrew and Winnie moved into our next-door 10 years ago with their four lovely kids. They became our good neighbors and friends quickly. Andrew and I both love gardening, I often saw the top of his sun hat when I was busy working in my backyard before our trees and vines grew so thick together and blocked our view. We would share plants, gardening knowledge, family stories and etc. When my basella alba spread to his side of the yard, he put up a lattice for it to crawl on. We enjoy his trumpet vines blossom every spring even though they cover all my trees. Last time we chatted over the fence was only a few days before he passed away, our hearts were broken when Winnie brought us the news. We still can't believe such an energetic, loving, caring person would suddenly leave us. We will miss him dearly. We will always remember him when we see his trees put up new leaves, his vines bloom; his banana trees turn brown; as well as every time when the wind whistles through our plants and birds chirp on our branches. Rest in peace, Andrew!

I have known Andrew over past 3-4 years but got to work more closely with him since the time we all came together under a single BCS BDM team.  The most striking nature about Andrew was that his genuine interest in people [didn't matter who they were], that hearty laugh & a big, warm smile. It was easy to see why most people never left his team and enjoyed his company. He was all about high EQ[Emotional Quotient] before there was an EQ. That and his love for hiking and his family taught me a thing or two about where our real priorities needed to be. Best times included team boat cruise in Bangkok although he had a torrid time with food poisoning on the flight back home. Thanks Andrew for helping me turn attention to what's most important aspects of life - my family. RIP Buddy ! 

Picturing life without Andrew is truly painful. He was the type of person who made every single person feel so loved and special. Even though our family lives in New York and him in Texas, that never stopped him from putting in the effort to see us as much as possible. Our annual family pig roasts are something that Andrew always looked forward to, and he was always the life of the party, having a great time. It is unamaginable thinking about a family reunion without him. From the pig roasts, to the Adirondacks, Greenwood, Big Bend, Mexico, and from Ontario to my most recent ventures to Austin, I am grateful for how many beautiful memories I have of my cousin. Love you forever, Andrew. And thank you for everything. 

I met Andrew in Vienna during one of his business trips with Cisco. We became friends immediately and even though we live quite far apart and only met a couple of times personally, there was a strong connection and we were on the same page instantly and could talk forever once we picked up the phone to catch up. 

During his trips to Vienna I took him to my favorite places here, like the little wine bar we use to hang out, that he loved as well and wanted to go back at each trip. And during my trips to Austin he invited me to his house to meet his family and organized a great trip I will always remember to Enchanted Rock. 

He had such a lovely, genuine, open minded personality, always with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. He honestly cared for everyone around him, brought joy to others and enjoyed life to the fullest. 

Andrew surely touched my life and I will miss him dearly. Andrew, you'll stay in my heart and mind forever.


It has been a while seen we last met in Dec 2018. It was such a big shock when we heard about Andrew’s leaving.

Andrew and we live quite far apart. Officially, we haven’t met Andrew for many times. According to memory maybe 4-5 times, during his every visit to Hong Kong.  However, Andrew gave us a thoughtful, caring, energetic and very positive image.

He cares about others feeling. He was a leader type that can advise and encourage people to try things they couldn’t do.  He was warm and lovely, always putting his family at the very first place.  We can tell because we know how he planned for the weekends, and how much effort he put into it.  Seems he wished to spend every single minute with them.  It shows how much he cared about his family. 

And he was a very gentleman kind.
Once he visited Hong Kong, our family invited him for dinner.  As a guest, we always wanted to serve him first based on our traditional concept.  However, he always said ‘ladies first”.  Although this was just a little case but we always recalling this when we thought about him.

It is sad to lose a friend like him.  And it was our honour to have him to be one of our family members.

Sensitive. Thoughtful of others. Intelligent. Absolutely committed to immediate and extended family.  Deeply caring of other people.  Attuned to our culture and concerned about community and world events.  He was all these things and much more.  Andrew was a thoroughly well-rounded individual who loved and endeavored to help others.  Most of all, he was tremendously engaged in life and able to enjoy it to the fullest.  Andrew was a joy to be around and sparked excitement in others.  We will miss him deeply. 

I had the luxury of knowing Andrew since 1st Grade at Eanes Elementary, Hill Country Middle School and Graduated with him at Westlake High School. We also lived in the same neighborhood both growing up in Rollingwood and used to play and ride bikes in our Summers. I always had a great time with Andrew all the way up until I finally saw him again at our Westlake High School 35 Year Reunion and when we both saw each other.....it was almost like it was like yesterday playing around when we were kids growing up. I always looked up to Andrew because he was so calm and so polite and just always a pure Gentlemen to others which I thought was such a pure gift from God that he gave me. I will miss him dearly and always will. RIP Andrew....you were taken too early but I will see you again on the other side. I love you.

Dear Aman Family,

Andrew will be missed by so many people that were touched by his unbendable happiness.  Always had a smile and laugh, even when things were tough.  The challenges Andrew and his brothers endured in their early years would have left many others without hope, but Andrew always found a creative solution to making the most of the challenges life dealt him. I've been blessed to have made a lot of friends through my brother's network of friends dating back to grade school, and Andrew is one of those that I always looked up to and gained inspiration. I will continue to look up to Andrew and know that he is thoughtfully watching over his dear family and good friends, because Andrew will always be with us.  God bless all of you. Adam and I will always be here for all of you, whatever you need.

I met Andrew in Sydney in 2013. We were both working for Cisco and i spent more than 2 weeks with him in Sydney, Singapore and Hongkong. I have the feeling we immediately became friends and these 2 weeks were the beginning of a journey. His advice back then started my career and gave me the confidence I needed.  Over the past 7 years I sometimes only met him once or twice a year and I am glad that he met my family and introduced me to his family. He was always there for me. Andrew had an incredible open minded personality, and he was always up for a silly joke. And at the same time Andrew could be serious and give me the best advice someone can wish for. In my darkest times he was there for me, helping me to get up again, share his experiences and his wisdom with me.  There is not a single memory i can share right now. I can only say that Andrew Aman was a great man with an even greater heart, he will be dearly missed. I will remember you forever Andrew and you will live on in my music. Thank you for being a friend.

Andrew and I first met at Compaq, he was responsible for Global Accounts sales in North America, me for EMEA.  I remember when we met, and realised we both had daughters with the same name. I remember our fun trip to empty Vegas in 2002, presenting together to Microsoft, and a fun golf game in the heat, our global accounts presentation where we finished each other’s sentences, very carefully rehearsed!  Your visit to our house In London in 99, the meal with Mike Grotz and the profiterole surprise desert!  Meeting my son Andy and I when you got your new truck.  Great times. So glad to have seen you again before Christmas and to meet Winnie and for you both to have met Karen.  Miss you buddy. Much love to you and all your wonderful family, Colin & Karen.  X

I will always remember your wisdom and advice throughout our 25 years, first as a friend and then as a brother.  I remember “the talk” before Peter and I got married and all kinds of insights that you gave me.  I will remember our jokes and laughter throughout the years and will treasure those memories.  I love you brother and will look forward to seeing you again and you giving me one if your open armed hugs.  I know that God has you and you are on a joyful adventure but always watching over us.  Peace to those of us still here.  

I've been thinking a lot about what memory I should share of Andrew.

When I first met him, we were co-workers. I was told before actually meeting him that I would "like the guy", and it was true. He was professional, smart, clearly cared a lot about his team and people in general and was a no-BS guy.

He'd come to Vienna for a training and we took him to lunch at a Mexican restaurant close to the office. Or what passes for Mexican in Vienna. He was quite polite, but later, when we had gotten closer, he wouldn't let me have the end of it.
Lesson learned: Never take a Texan out for Mexican food if you're not in Texas. Or in Mexico (maybe).

What'll stick with me is Andrew's joyful attitude, the constant twinkle in his eyes.  So many small details. The way he looked at a nice piece of dessert. His joy when he was carrying my infant daughter through the Zoo of Schönbrunn. How he loved to host us when we'd visit him in Austin.

He was a great friend, one of the best I ever had. Even though contact was loose after we no longer shared the same employer - all it took was a phone call and we'd be back on the same page, as if we had just seen each other last week.

I have no pictures of him with me. He usually took the pictures and then he'd forget to send them over.
But you'll stay in my heart and mind forever, my friend.

Every time I glance in my yard I see plants that Andrew gave me to grow by our house; he would have a bucket ready for me to take home whenever he knew we were coming over. That’s  one of our mutual hobbies we connected over,  and could talk about forever.  He was so proud of his paradise that he created in his backyard and would tell me exactly what each vine or plant that is and how they do in Texas heat and which websites I can find them on.
Now  every time I’m outside and I  look at the offsprings from his garden I will always remember his nurturing nature toward his loved ones and how he cared for everyone and everything around him..
I am grieving your loss deeply and I will always miss you, Andrew. I  wish you peacefulness,  tranquility and happiness. God bless you and keep smiling your infectious smile at us from Heaven. 

I have known Andrew since my daughter, Tracy, became a part of the Aman family in 2005. My husband, Richard, and I shared many special holidays, graduations, birthdays with the Aman Families over the years which included Andrew.  He always added a special touch to each of these celebrations giving his wisdom, experience, and advise to all. We will miss him and his humor when we visit Texas and the Aman families again.  My prayers are with Winnie and the children as they face life without Andrew.  I know he will be watching over them until they are united again in the next life.  He will be truly missed by all.

Maybe 10 years ago, when the whole family from Texas was in New York visiting, Andrew volunteered to take all 6 kids (Lauren, Michael, Natalie, Sabrina, Melanie, marcy) up to greenwood. He was the only adult with 6 kids, and made our day so much fun. We hiked the creek, explored the area and were introduced to the cottage. Andrew taught us how to catch salmon under the rocks and let us just act as kids in a new place. There was no cell phone reception, which is unfathomable for most people. Especially someone trapped with 6 kids. We stopped and bought pies (Andrews favorite) and on the way home, “I’ve got a feeling” by the black eyed peas came on the radio. Andrew turned it up, and sang it loudly with no shame in the world. Next thing you know, all 7 of us were belting out this song harmoniously. It was such a genuinely fun, wholesome day. Andrew was someone who brought joy to others, and felt joy himself, by the most simple things in life. He wanted his kids to see greenwood, a place that he grew up, and to enjoy the memories he had and beauty in this location.  This memory speaks to the person that he was, and how he was the one who planned things, brought people together, and had the most fun while doing it. This memory is one of countless in which he demonstrated his loving soul, his traditional nature, and his desire to connect to people in the world around him. To Andrew, family, friends, time spent together, and love were the most important things, and you could feel that being around him. It made you want to be that way too. Andrew, words cannot say how much you will be missed. But if we can remember to live in the way that you always demonstrated, we will all be okay and will carry you with us each and every day. 

Andrew was very real and sincere in wanting family to always be together and support eachother. It is painful to picture life without him. He cherished family and memories. With us living in NY and him with his family in Texas, you’d think it would be tricky staying on top of our relationship but Andrew never stopped trying and succeeding in getting us together. He taught us you fight for who matters. A major impact in our lives. 

Dear Aman Family,

There are no words to express how heartbroken I am after hearing the news of Andrew’s passing. Andrew and I met during our time together at Compaq in Houston. Although our career paths would take us down different roads over time, Andrew and I were forever connected.

I am certain that my life will never be the same without Andrew. In humor, I’m trying to rationalize how my family can officially start the holiday season without first having received the Aman family photo holiday card to kick the season off! Andrew was so passionate about taking photographs to document his time with loved ones and his travels. (Andrew and me at Pebble Beach in photo below.) 

It is Andrew’s passion for family, life, and friends that I will miss most. However, we can all rest assured that Andrew’s passion will live on within each of us until we meet him again.

Dear Winnie and Aman Family, 

I worked with Andrew for a few years.  In that short time, I got to know what a kind, generous, appreciative and extraordinary human being he was.  As part of his team and threw his leadership and mentorship,  I've learned a great deal about him and about you, his family.  

He was very proud of you and cherished every moment he spent with you.  Anyone who ever interacted with Andrew knew exactly who he was and he shared that with the world.  He was a gift to all of us.  I will forever remember my friend, mentor, colleague, and connection with that special soul.

With a heavy heart, I and many like me, will mourn this loss.  Through this pain and sadness, you are not alone.

I worked closely with Andrew for two years at Cisco, and I'm so grateful I did. He was one of the warmest and kindest people I've ever met. He connected with people on a deep level and was genuinely curious about their lives, what they cared about, and what made them smile. I remember him smiling a lot. I remember him laughing and having fun a lot. I remember him always being a supportive friend who was there to listen, offer guidance, and kindness. He was exceptional at his job, but he was also an exceptional human being who touched many lives.
