

She met her first husband, Charles Lloyd Franklin and they were married on July 7, 1956, and later had two children, Terri Lynn Franklin-Niven and Charles Lawrence Franklin. They lived in Austin and the Dripping Springs area for many years and they shared their lives heavily involved in their children’s school, local church activities, and particularly enjoyed gardening.
After attending a business trade school, she spent several years working for the federal government at Internal Revenue Service in Austin. Later in life, she returned to the federal government working with Immigration and Nationalization Services (INS) out of Dallas where she won many rewards for her forgery and investigation work.
During this time her husband fell and received a head injury that lead to a stroke and became partially paralyzed. Angeline moved close to Charles and bought a home in Bonham where she spent many years of her retired life taking care of him at a local nursing home and managing her 14 acres with a large orchard and garden and llamas, goats, and sheep. Later Charles passed onto heaven on March 30, 2008, a day before his 74th birthday.
After her first husband’s passing, Angeline returned to Richardson until she met Gary Bannan and they were married on February 14, 2014. The two spent their retired lives traveling between Murphy, North Carolina, Dallas, Texas, and Englewood, Florida.
Angeline was recently predeceased by her daughter Terri Franklin-Niven whom passed on to God on July 10, 2016 at the age of 57 in Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Gary Bannan (of Englewood, Florida); her son Charles Franklin (Dallas, Texas); and three grandchildren, Meghan Lynette Niven (Denver, Colorado), Cameron Lawrence Franklin (Manchester, Connecticut) and Braedan Howard Franklin (Dallas, Texas). She is further survived by two step-grandchildren, Charles Brentan Self and Cassidy Robin Self; and one great-grandchild Savannah Grace Self, all of which also reside in the Dallas, Texas area; several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Service to be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018, with interment to immediately follow, also at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at 6300 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Oglesby Foundation or Boles Children's Home in care of Waterview Church of Christ.
