Anna "Lucy" Glosson Moore

Anna was born on February 19, 1926 to James W. Glosson and Tula Glosson in Dripping Springs, TX, where she resided as a child. She lived most of her life in Austin, TX and San Antonio, TX before moving back to Dripping Springs and then to Austin.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 23 years, Billy H. Moore; her sister Willow Dean Spillar, her brothers Carol and Woody Glosson, and her parents, Jim and Tula Glosson. Anna is survived by her son, David W. and Jeanie James of Leander, TX; brother Shot and Nancy Glosson of Dripping Springs, TX; sister Bonnie Pearson of Austin, TX, two step daughters and one step son; many nieces and nephews; and special friends.

Anna was a devoted, caring, and fun-loving wife and mother. She dearly loved her son and daughter-in-law, step children, family, and friends and was always willing to help others in their time of need.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Andrew Weary, Dr. Douglas Salmon, Dr. Dennis Tweedy, Dr. Maureen Alexander, and Dr. Sujatha Venkatesh for the excellent care provided over many years; the doctors, nurses, and aids at St. David’s South Austin Hospital, St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, and Cedar Park Regional Hospital for always providing wonderful care when she was there; the residents and staff at the Clairmont Retirement Community and the Cottonwood Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for providing a safe and caring environment; and the staff and nurses of Girling Hospice for providing outstanding care and comfort.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, September 9, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Cody Reeves of Dripping Springs United Methodist Church officiating. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio.
