She is survived by her siblings Angela Bishop-Connolly (Kevin), Harry Bishop (Linda), and Teresa Bokich (Tony); and by her beloved nephews Iverson Bokich, Chester Bokich, Lt. Col. Jared Bishop, and Adam Bishop.
Anne worked at the University of Texas in Austin, Food Service Division in Kinsolving Dormitory, for twenty years. She took the city bus to and from work daily and to run errands and go to appointments. She could tell you what bus to take anywhere in town!
For many years, Anne worked with her sister, Angela, doing charity work with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. They provided packets of information for needy clients and made home visits to interview clients to determine their most pressing needs.
She moved into Coral Rehabilitation and Nursing of Austin in April of 2018 and lived there until her death. She had many friends and enjoyed being part of the Coral community. She loved to read, watch television, do adult coloring pages, play card games, work jigsaw puzzles, and win at Bingo.
Arrangements are being made through Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Anne will be cremated and her cremains will be inurned at Assumption Cemetery in the Pieta Columbaria, right next to her favorite cousin, Elong Powell.
The family would like to thank the staff at Coral Rehab for taking such good care of Anne through some challenging times.
