

April, A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2026, at the age of 62 in Austin, Texas. She was born on July 8th, 1963, in Long Beach, California. She lived a life defined by love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, April served her nation with honor and dedication. Her military service reflected the strength, discipline, and selflessness that she carried throughout her life. She remained deeply proud of her service and the values it instilled in her.
Beyond her service, April was known for her kind heart, strong spirit, and generosity. She had a special way of making people feel welcomed and loved, and her presence brought comfort and warmth to everyone around her.
April found joy in cooking, crocheting, and dancing especially to any song by Snoop Dogg and Mariah Carey. The Love she poured into others will live on through the memories, lessons, and traditions she shared.
Family was the center of April’s world. She leaves behind to cherish her loving daughters, Latoya, Paris, and Ivannah. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren whom she loved deeply. Sisters Leslie, Angela, and Shannon. She was preceded in death by her Mother Jeanell Cochran and her father Nathaniel Archie Cochran.
A Private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Military honors will be provided as the family recognizes and honors her service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that acts of kindness be done in her honor.
Though she is no longer with us in body, April’s love, strength, and legacy will remain forever in our hearts.
