

A R Garcia (Arnold, or Junior to friends and family) went into the loving arms of our Savior on October 10, 2022. Arnold was born on July 20, 1956, in Temple, TX, and grew up in Killeen. He was the second oldest child of Arnulfo Rodriguez Garcia and Adela Luna.
Arnold graduated from Killeen High School in 1974 and began his career in retail. He was a master salesman and worked in Bealls Department store in Killeen Mall and Dillards shoes in Highland Mall and Barton Creek Mall in Austin. He had the gift of speaking with anyone and could always get you a pair of good, quality shoes. Arnold and Angela Domm were joined in marriage on December 24, 1976.
Arnold had a passion for sports. He was a walking ESPN commentator and could tell you about any sports; high school, college, professional and the players, stats, and what team the players should have really been on, and the answer was ALWAYS the Dallas Cowboys.
Arnold is preceded in death by his mother, Adela and his father, Arnulfo R. Garcia. Arnold is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Valerie and Eric Matus and granddaughter Elena of Giddings; sisters Yolanda and husband Jim Obenshain of San Antonio; Lydia Campos of Hudson, New Hampshire; Carol Lee of Austin and brother Richard and wife, Linda Garcia of Lavernia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ascension Seton Medical Center for the care and compassion they showed Arnold.
Visitation with the family will begin on October 17, 2022 at 5pm with a rosary at 7pm at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home. A Catholic mass will be held on October 18, 2022 at 10 am at St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Interment to follow mass at 3 pm at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Cemetery.
