

Barbara Inez West (Pervier), age 74 of San Marcos, Texas passed away due to natural causes on October 21, 2017 in Austin, Texas. Born May 3, 1943 to her Father Charles Clayton Pervier and Mother Mary Francis Pervier (Case). She was raised in San Antonio, Texas where she graduated High School and then attended Lubbock Christian College. While attending college she met and fell in love with Larry Lloyd West the son of John and Mary (Francis) West and they were married on August 11, 1962.
Barbara was an extremely talented artist, devoted wife and dedicated mother. In the early 70’s she started her own art, craft and hobby retail business in San Antonio called “Which Craft”, that because of the name created a sensation and her business became very successful with several locations. After selling the business in the late 70’s she continued to paint and teach art classes for clients ranging from individuals to corporations and Universities all across Texas.
Barbara was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and loved her family. She and her Husband Larry are members at the San Marcos Church of Christ in San Marcos, Texas and she was a devout Christian woman with a strong faith in her Lord.
She is survived by her sister Margaret (Pervier) Camp and her husband George Camp of Houston, Texas; Her Brother Curtis Pervier and his wife Lyndolyn Pervier; Her children Dan West; Charles and Amy West; Richard and Silke (Newman) West; Kerri (West) and Will Kennemer; Adopted daughter Sharon (King); Her Grandchildren, Christian, John, Louis, Katie, Charles, Jr., Dylan, Savannah, Bailey, Skyler, Mary, West, Case and Carter and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Frances Pervier (Case) and her son John Lawrence West.
A celebration of life will be held at a future time at the San Marcos Church of Christ in San Marcos, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity. Larry and Barbara’s wishes are that their remains be cremated and their ashes combined and spread on the beach in Rockport, Texas where they spent most of their summer vacations and weekend getaways.
