

Mrs. Holditch summarized her Professional Life as “I was born, I taught, I died.” Mrs. Holditch’s contributions to her students were expressed by the many prayers, cards, visitors, and stories she received. Mrs. Holditch retired in June of 2016 after 36 years in the classroom. Mrs. Holditch served as middle school language arts teacher for the Round Rock ISD. In her 29 years at Deerpark Middle School, Mrs. Holditch served as language arts department chair, honored as Teacher of the Year, advocate of students, reminding the faculty and administration that it is always about the children.
Mrs. Holditch was a Master Teacher.
Becky Holditch, as she was known by her family and friends was a lifelong Episcopalian, an avid reader, sailor, snow skier, and ranch woman. Becky was born in San Antonio on February 8, 1944.
Becky attended Incarnate Word High School in San Antonio and graduated with a BS from the University of Texas in Austin were she was Delta Gamma.
Becky Holditch was a partner in Marquee Event Group a large Event Rental Company in Austin.
Becky was married to Damon W. Holditch for 52 years. Becky is survived by her husband, three children, nine grandchildren and a brother.
In lieu of a funeral, Becky requested a Celebration of Life Party. This party will happen in the near future. This celebration will be planned and produced by the Event Community of Austin.
The family wants to express their appreciation, and admiration for the professionals at the Austin Cancer Center, St. David’s Medical Center, and the Hospice Austin Christopher House. Along with the family’s strong faith, these compassionate, knowledgeable and talented professionals made this phase of their lives manageable.
