

Bertha Graef Bertha Graef, 93, of Creedmoor, Texas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18, 2004. She was born June 15, 1911 to William and Ethel Allman in Liberty Hill where she spent her childhood. She was married December 25, 1932 to Martin Graef. Preceding her in death was her husband Martin, son Donald and her grandson Randy. Deceased also are seven brothers Jess, Bert, Edgar, Ivan, Willie and Johnnie Allman, and three sisters Zola Rogers, Lucile Nelson, and Ann Sisson. The only surviving sibling is Roy Allman of Liberty Hill. Berthas great joy in life always resided in her immediate and extended family. Survivors include three children, Martha Scott, Jeanette Young and her husband Pete, Stephen Graef and wife Janis, eight grandchildren, Julia Fritsch, Keith Young, Hal Scott, Bruce Young, Vondelle Savage, Craig Scott, Wesley Scott and Joseph Graef. She was blessed with 15 great grandchildren. Bertha taught elementary school in a one room schoolhouse. She was a 4-H Club leader and a member of the Home Demonstration Club for 57 years. She was a charter member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. The family deeply appreciates the care and love extended by the staff of River Crest Health Center, the doctors and staff of Central Texas Medical Center and CTMC Hospice. Special gratitude to caregivers Isabel Garcia, Cindy Dean, Sue Hernandez, Lorie Wright and Vera Pacheco. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20th at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Wilke-Clay-Fish Chapel on Saturday, August 21, 2004 followed by burial at Live Oak Cemetery in Manchaca.
