Betty Barber

She moved to Austin after her marriage to Lewie Mabry Barber in 1956, and remained there until her death.

She was a member of the University of Texas Ladies club and long and faithful member of TOPS. She was a 20 year employee of Reitz Music Company.

A faithful member of Allandale/Great Hills Baptist Church for more than 30 years, where she was active in the Youth Dept. and the Choir. For the past 3 years, she served as an active member of Austin Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lewie M. Barber of Austin. Daughters and son-in-laws, Vickie & Daniel Lee of Kingwood, Texas, Carole & Rocky Marshall of Boerne, Texas, and daughter, Patricia Howard of Austin, Texas; 9 grandchildren, Jacob Lee, Vincent Howard and wife Heather, Adam Lee, Erica Carreon, Abigail Lee, Katelyn Marshall, Ruth Lee, Kyle Marshall and Grant Marshall; and 4 great-grandchildren, Savannah Spillman, Levi Spillman, Ava Howard and Wyatt Taylor; her Niece, Kay Dierlam of Alabama, and two Nephews, C. K. Rodieck of Wisconsin, and Richard Rodieck of California, as well as numerous cousins and a host of cherished friends.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and faithful Christian.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2015, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills on Anderson Mill Road in Austin, with graveside services at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
