

Billie Rector Bradley, age 91, died March 14, 2009. Mrs. Bradley was the only child of Jodie Edens and Morgan Rector, and was born in Luling, Texas on August 5, 1917. Her early years were spent in San Marcos. Austin had been her home since 1933 and she was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School. She was a long-time and dedicated member of Central Christian Church, where she served in various offices and in 2002 was recognized as a Deacon Emeritus. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert H. Bradley and is survived by her two children and their spouses, John Morgan Bradley and wife Kimberly Grubbs Bradley and Ellen Roberta Bradley and husband Richard Olha; and three beloved grandchildren, Jo Ellyn Bradley, John Robert Bradley, and Caroline Heston Olha. Billie was a legal secretary, and after many years of employment with various Austin attorneys, she served the United States Fifth Circuit in Judge Homer Thornberry's chambers as his administrative secretary until her retirement in 1985. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Central Christian Church at 12th and Guadalupe Streets.
