Billie Ruth Echols Wright

Billie Ruth Echols Wright, 86, was born on October 18, 1928 in Mexia, Texas to Seth and Stella Bryan Echols. Mom passed away on April 8, 2015 in Austin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lowell Wright, Sr., and her sister, Mary Painter. Billie’s surviving siblings are Sue Pederson, Seth (Buddy) Echols, and Imogene Booher.

Billie Ruth died peacefully in the early morning on 8th of April. Her family and friends were by her side throughout the days and hours leading up to her death and were blessed to be able to share words of comfort, love, and prayer. She is survived by her beloved children Brenda Wright, Leslie and husband William Bertram, Robert and wife Tracy Wright, and Rhonda and husband Pete Polkinghorn. Her grandchildren were the light of her life: Travis and wife Kourtnie Bertram, Trent and wife Michelle Bertram, James Polkinghorn, Jonathan Polkinghorn, Allyson Wright, and Kathryn Wright. She was delighted in her great-granddaughters: Shelby, Avery, Harley, Presley and Reese.

She has gone home to rejoin her loved ones and is now at peace with her heavenly Father.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, April 10, 2015 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
