Blanche R. Beck, 95, died Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Summit of West Lake Hills assisted living facility in Austin, Texas. A longtime resident of the Tarrytown area in Austin, she was a member of the Tarrytown United Methodist Church. Born and reared in Roodhouse, Illinois, her early life was in Illinois where she married and raised a family. Blanche was a Registered Nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Beck, and two sisters, Marjory Bayne of Mission Hills, Kansas and Betty Jane McConathy of Roodhouse, Illinois. Survivors include three children: Janis Totman, Tucson, Arizona; Jerry Campbell, Signal Mountain, Tennessee; John Campbell, Austin; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three nieces. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17th at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel followed by Memorial services at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Tarrytown United Methodist Church, 2531 Exposition Blvd., Austin, TX 78703.
