Bonnie Lou Smith Koeninger passed away at her home in Austin, Texas on September 26 after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born on April 19, 1931 in Shawnee Oklahoma. Bonnie was the third of four children born to Alvin and Nellie Smith. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Dowden, of 41 years. She leaves behind her daughters, Caron Marnocha and husband Ben; Stacy White and her husband Ed; sisters, Nola Gluege and Corene Morton; grandchildren Erin Marnocha, Kelly Curtis and her husband Josh; Nicole Osborn and her husband Trent; two great-granddaughters Aisley Curtis and Layla Osborn; and her loving nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of Bonnie’s life on Saturday, September 29 at Great Hills Baptist Church, 10500 Jollyville Rd at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
