Bryan loved motocross, and raced all over Texas in the 1970s and 1980s, both as an amateur and as a professional, winning many trophies and titles. Even though he no longer raced, he remained an avid fan. He learned his construction skills from his grandfather, William JB Roberts, and worked construction for many years. He loved working with his hands, enjoyed cooking and eating barbeque, and spending time with his sweetheart and their friends and family.

Bryan Leslie Briggs is survived by his longtime sweetheart, Kim Bounds Merrill; his mother, Gloria Briggs; his brother, Barry Briggs; and his niece, Michelle Briggs, all of Austin. He is preceded in death by his father, Leslie Roe (LR) Briggs.
Bryan was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
