

Calvin Anderson Calvin Anderson, 87, of Austin passed away on September 24, 2004. Calvin was born June 9, 1917 in Manor, Texas. He served his country in the Army Signal Corp during World War II. Calvin owned and operated a grocery store in Manor, Texas until his retirement in 1973, at which time he and Nora Belle moved to Andice to try their hand at country living. They moved to Austin in 1980 to be closer to family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.W. and Hilda Anderson; sisters, Bonnie Anderson and Bessie Mae Anderson; and brother, John Edward Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nora Belle; one child, Michael Anderson and wife Linda; two grandchildren, Laurie Shaw and husband, Darin; and Amy Hanner and husband, Tiger; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Kendall Hanner, all of Austin; sister, Winnie Ricketson of Manor; nephew, Terry Ricketson and his wife, Tricia and their daughter, Jennifer. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at the Manor Cemetery in Manor, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 27th with nephews, Rev. Kevin Jennings and Father Andrew Gunn officiating.
