These two beautiful people, Carolyn and John Gregory, were in a horrific car accident on November 14th, 2009. John died from his injuries that night at the hospital. Carolyn fought valiantly for 3 months to overcome her extensive internal injuries, but passed away on February 11. Carolyn taught music at Mathews, Metz, Barton Hills, and Pillow Elementary Schools in AISD for 32 years. She had "the voice of an angel," and played the violin in two orchestras at the time of her death. John was an internationally famous astronomer, and a world-class pianist. The Gregory family is having a service in Celebration of the Lives of Carolyn and John on Sunday, April 11 at 3:00 p.m. at University United Methodist Church (2409 Guadalupe). There will be lots of music, stories shared and Amy's Ice Cream! It will be a fitting tribute to these two wonderful people who meant so much to so many of us.
