
I am so sorry for your loss. I am the son of Charles Jerry (Hutson) Thomas' brother, Danny Joe Hutson (who was adopted in 1933 before Charles and renamed E. Don Thomas).  

I have been searching for years for any of my father's blood relatives and on this one day I am sad to find that both my uncle and aunt have passed; two people who I have never met. 

I do remember once taking a phone call from this sweet lady "Kitty" and she wanted to tell my father that Charles had some kind of genetic tumor that we may want to be leery of... the whole family.  My father refused to speak to anyone, but I remember her telling me and my mother, that she and Charles still loved him.  This is all I know of her and I see she has made a wonderful life for my Uncle Charles and has so many friends and family.  

Sadly my father passed in 1995.  His last weeks he spent a lot of time desperately searching for his brother Charles.  I have the notes.

My memories of my Aunt Kitty are very fond ones.  She was truly an influential part of my life - and I've tried to pass those values along to my own nephews.  When ever we are together I say -   - Lets have FUN in what ever we do. I still remember Aunt Kitty in her black one piece bathing suit, taking me and my sister swimming in the early 1970s.      Where ever we were at - what ever we did - we always knew when Aunt Kitty was around, we were going to have a great time.    With no offense towards Aunt Milly, to me Aunt Kitty always made the best cakes.  It wasn't that they were homemade - it wasn't about the chocalate pecan icing - well, maybe the icing.  No.      It was about the love that she put into that cake.    I knew - that that confection - was going to be a special cake - because Aunt Kitty was baking it just for me.  And I will never forget it, nor the icing.    When I was a kid, Aunt Kitty's house was a cool place to be - there was always something going on - and we were never bored.      Who can forget that tennis ball cannon, the fireworks, motorcycles, etc.  We were always doing stuff that was just plain crazy.    You could have just as easily broke an arm, as well as a window at Aunt Kitty's house with all the stuff going on.    I remember the snow storm that blanketed the Houston area with several inches of snow in the winter of 1972.  Since there was no school, where did we go -- Aunt Kitty's.     While the kids were busy making snowmen,  and throwing snowballs at each other - Aunt Kitty was leading the way with indoor activities, for when we came in from the cold, you can be assured that we were comforted - hot drinks and food all around.      Aunt Kitty was always there for us.    Aunt Kitty, along with my Aunts Tina and Ramona  - were a TRINITY of saving graces to my Mother - their combined selflessness allowed Angel short  respites - In the hectic world of raising three kids, and of being a wife and nurse, she needed rest.    Aunt Kitty was always so giving to me and my family - asking nothing in return.      She was a true jewel.      Aunt Kitty is at peace now.  And I beg you Lord, please accept Aunt Kitty into your Kingdom - Heaven - where she will be treated with respect and dignity for all eternity.    God Bless you Aunt Kitty.



I'm sorry to hear about your loss.  Kitty used to ride in the Vanpool and was always making us laugh with her humor.  You could alway count on her.  She was young at heart.



We all remember Kitty and all the special times we shared with her.  She was such a character; funny and full of spunk.  She worked so hard and always put her family first.  She loved her family very much.  Our prayers are with you all.



Our prayers are with you, her family. May God give with the strength to deal with your loss.  Kitty was a great person and she will be missed.



I learned of Kitty's passing this morning and I am so sorry for your loss.  I hope that God will grant you His peace and comfort while you mourn so that soon you will also be able to celebrate her life.  I will always remember Kitty's feistyness and willingness to help others in need.
