Charles Patrick Meurer

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Charles Patrick Meurer, passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 78, in Austin, Texas.

Charles is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Veronica Meurer; his children, Jason Meurer, Michelle Meurer, and Patrick Meurer; his cherished grandchildren, Mia Torrez, Rickey Young, Madelynn Meurer, Jason Meurer Jr., and Amber Meurer; his sister, AnnMarie Clattenberg; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Charles graduated from Travis High School in 1965 and retired from the City of Austin, where he dedicated his career as a Communications Technician. He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

A quiet and patient man, Charles lived with grace and humility. Known for his gentle spirit and sense of humor, it was often said that he had “two speeds—slow and slower.” Yet, through his steady presence, he taught his family that love is best shown through patience, consistency, and devotion. He enjoyed tending to his yard, riding his bike, and taking long walks, always reminding those around him to take time to “smell the roses.” Above all, Charles was a man devoted to his family, always ensuring that their needs were met and that they felt deeply loved. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
