

Clementine F. Garner, age 89, a resident of Westminster Manor in Austin, Texas, died on June 24, 2005. She was born in Austin on May 25, 1916, to Edgar and Julia Fox. Clementine was a member of Saint Martins Lutheran Church and was an associate member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Austin High School and The University of Texas at Austin. After working for the State of Texas Health Department from 1936 to 1940, she began the job of running her home and raising her family. Clementine enjoyed reading, a good game of golf, and African violets. She was a member of the Austin Country Club, the Austin Club, and the Austin African Violet Society. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harry G. Garner; her son, Edgar Fox Garner and his wife, Barbara Bohn Garner of Alpine, Wyoming; grandson, Gregory Garner of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Julie Ann Estavillo and her husband Arthur Estavillo as well as four great-granddaughters, Emily, Kathryn, Grace and Christina, all of Mesa, Arizona. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers include Nick Grandinetti, Monroe Karcher, John Bohn, Richard Dersham, Duncan Boeckman and John Boeckman. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
